MediaNet officially announced their new API Platform yesterday. You can see the release here. The team has been working on this platform for a number of months, and it’s great to see it in the market. In addition to Intertech, Mog, iLike there are some large portals not mentioned in the release, who are launching products using MediaNet’s platform. And some smaller companies. One of their older widgets is on this blog, the Song Of The Day. Look for others shortly. The advantage is that the consumer doesn’t have to leave the publisher’s page to transact, unlike Amazon and iTunes affiliate models. We worked with Intertech on their MediaNet deal, and can assist any product/service/blog or site to get into this business. The MediaNet service makes sense – it shows immediate monetization, and enhances stickiness and site features and functionality.
